Bye Oz!

Just a quick one….

Due to Darwin being a little dull we are leaving early and head for Bali today! So I have to do the usual highlights/lowlights on leaving a country…

Highlights:
Undoubtedly Australia Zoo,
Snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef,
Our camping tour of the red centre – Uluru, Kata Tjuta and King’s Canyon,
Camping on our own private Whitsunday beach,
Beating Matt in our little fishing competition in Mallacoota,
Great towns – Sydney and Melbourne rock,
One of Matt’s highlights was playing in the 4×4 on Fraser Island.

Lowlights:
Flies, midges, and stingers – attempting to ruin our fun!
The distances required to drive from A to B – it’s as big as Europe!

Bloody hell – that was swift!! I was just about to comment on the earlier blog and – hey presto – you guys have moved!! I was just thinking that Darwin time zone is not a good one for talking on msn! We will have to change the clocks to Bali time now! Hope you can have a rest in Bali and re charge the batteries! At least I hope its sunny and warm – unlike GB! Easter Sunday now(well almost gone now!) Dad and I visited Duke of Wellingtons place yesterday – reassuring to note that his descendants also read Harry Potter!! Weather a bit bland here at mo – hope yours is better(with no repeat of Fiji floods!!) Keep safe, speak soon we hope. Mum and Dad D. xxx

I know!! What’s with the 1.20 choc bars?! We have since been enjoying dinner with a couple of beers each for 6 quid total! awesome – the budget is saved!

“Sweating your arses off eh”!! that conjurs up a pretty picture – not! We are just about making 15degrees here today apparently! So no sweating here!! Are you missing your camper van or enjoying not having to plan routes etc? Dad back to work part time next week – early starts again – aarghh! Did Fee tell you that she has her own car now? we will be scrapping the Fiesta shortly – shame really. Keep on enjoying yourselves – I am off to work in a jiffy(doing a day shift today) Hope both well.

Hello, just off to the Gili Islands in half an hour.
Yeah Fee did mention her new car and that she’s flattened the battery already!
I am kinda missing the driving and having a home on wheels. There is still lots of planning involved in how to get from A to B, but I let Rach deal with that!
Speak in a few days!
